You took the ranger job at Blackwood Park for a clean start. Walk the trail. Check the markers. Lock up at the cabin. Simple work, far from everything you left behind.

But Blackwood has stood since 1896, and something lives there that will protect it.

You'll find its signs before you ever see it: tracks that stop mid-stride, trees raked with claw marks, a stillness in the forest where the birdsong should be. The deer know when to run. So should you.

And when the screaming starts, you don't fight. You hide, you run, and you try to reach your truck before the thing in the trees reaches you.

What you do

  • Walk a living forest across several nights — learn its trails, its landmarks, its moods.
  • Read the warnings. The wildlife, the weather, the silence, and the marks left in the mud all tell you something, if you're paying attention.
  • Survive the hunt. No weapons. Hiding, distance, and nerve are all you have.
  • Piece together what Blackwood is from the things people left behind — if you want to look that closely.

Features

  • A hand-built forest that feels alive even when nothing is happening: wandering wildlife, dynamic weather, day bleeding into night, drifting fog, and a layered soundscape where the most frightening sound is silence.
  • An articulated, reactive creature — the Stag — that you'll mostly know by its absence.
  • Reflective lake water, real-time shadows, and a painterly, fully procedural world.
  • Environmental storytelling scattered across the park: abandoned camps, fallen towers, forgotten gear — every one raising a question.
  • Every texture and every sound is generated procedurally at runtime. The entire game is a single page with no external assets.

A vertical slice. Best played with headphones, in the dark.
